The Project

Born of an agreement between the governments of Abu Dhabi and France, Louvre Abu Dhabi (LAD) displays art, manuscripts and objects of historical, cultural and sociological significance. Spanning millennia, the items on display originate from societies and cultures all over the world, but universal themes and common influences are highlighted to illustrate similarities arising from shared human experience transcending geography, nationality and history.

What we did

Our embedded delivery, working collaboratively across all departments and stakeholders, covers recruitment and human resources consultancy. This incorporated cascading their high-level strategic objectives to a clearly defined and measurable departmental and individual competency framework. We continue to provide ongoing local, regional and international recruitment support across all museological, corporate and executive  functions. Recent assignments include Senior Manager of Publications, Manager of Exhibitions, Director of Education & Cultural Engagement, and Chief Curator, Archaeology. 

The outcome

Key benefits and success factors have included reinforcing the measurable link between the business objectives, goals, values, vision and mission and the simplicity of use to assess performance and monitor the knowledge, skills, and attributes of people in the organisation. This has enabled Louvre Abu Dhabi to represent the dynamic nature of the contemporary Arab world while celebrating the region’s vibrant multicultural heritage.

Our ongoing support of their human resources and recruitment needs resulted in a hugely successful opening and the establishment of the cultural institution as a truly iconic museum through which to see humanity in a new light.
